Hey everyone so the main purpose of this post is to state that I am fully funded! Thank you so much for all of you who have helped support me financially or otherwise such as prayer. I have been back on the field for just about eight weeks now or roughly two months but still have three months left. I’ll do my best to continue to post blogs occasionally to fill you in on what has been going on as we continue to go throughout the United States and helping in various ministries.

The past couple weeks we transitioned out of Colorado and into Missouri. While in MO our group was in charge of hosting this event called Encounter with the purpose of gathering believers from around the state and even some out of state to worship and grow closer to God through teachings. It was a great time and I learned some new tips on growing closer on my walk and seeing others fully worship God without fear of judgment was quite refreshing. On both of the days we hosted the event I was in charge of watching the kids for a couple hours so their parents could have a break and better focus on the teachings. It was a crazy ride to say the least with the kids jumping all over me. (for some reason I seem to be a magnet to most kids)

Now moving on to Indiana, more specifically Indianapolis (locals call it Indy). We spent the first few nights at Vineyard church was a cool experience and were able to participate in an sozo otherwise known as inner healing through art. It was almost everybody’s first experience with this and spending a few hours drawing things based off the prompt that the guy in charge gave us was actually quite fun, even though I haven’t done anything art related since middle school lol. I truly believed that God used this to show me that can be a way to connect to the Father even if you aren’t good at it. Plus as a bonus it is really relaxing and can help ease stress. The following day we attended the church service there and helped run youth group that night. After the church service one of the people playing music on stage opened up their home for us to stay at for the rest of the week we will be here. We definitely have not had any shortage in generosity throughout this trip as every place we go to we have been able to find a host that allows us stay in their home. I feel it’d be funny to point out that while being on this race people really do make themselves at home while staying at different host homes. For instance it’s not uncommon to see people grabbing a midnight snack from the fridge while in their pjs.
