Whats up Everyone! So the last couple weeks I have been doing some random writing. Just things that come to mind throughout the day. A lot of people who know me know I have a tendency to say and think random out of the box type stuff. Ive always been like that. It may make zero sense at the time,it may be a song or a poem, or maybe ideas that one day go into a book. I have no idea but its been fun. I enjoy writing so i figured Id have some fun with a blog and do it on here. Not sure where these next few min are headed but I’m going to type anyway and see what happens.:)))
When thoughts hit paper does that make it poetry
I remember days asking God please notice me.
I’ve been in dark places, with no sense of light
Overcome by fear, with no end in site.
Running from my calling, for so many years
Until the age of 30, I finally faced my fears.
Devil get off me, you got no say here
I’m focused on the Lord homie,you cant play here.
I’m sure it drives him nuts, and I think its funny
I’m running after God like bees to the honey.
Now I’m being silly, laughing as I sit here
Come the month of August, man I wont be here.
11 countries 11 months, with 40 strangers
In the 10/40 window, we don’t trip about the danger.
The Lord has our back and we’re fully focused
Holy Spirit on our side, I aint talkin Hocus Pocus.
Sent out to make a difference, and spread the Gospel
Life in a backpack, feet up at a hostel.
Life is changing fast and yeah I like it
Who knew the first step would be this drastic.
As I keep typing, I’m gonna keep it real
I use to be the hamster, running on that wheel.
Going through life but just running in circles
Thinking you Stephon, but you acting like Urcle.
That line made me laugh, cuz Urcle was the man though
Now-a-days I’m like Steph, Chillin, shooting free throws.
Laid back and care free, because I know Jesus got me
I even drink coffee now, you cant stop me.
Change is inevitable but growth is a choice
Jesus is talking to you, can you hear is voice?
There is darkness in my past but my future is bright
Not worried bout the demons, to the left and the right.
My faith is strong, and I’m Christian Tough
So when times get hard, Ill lace em up.
Renegade Christians, its a call to action
I’m talking boots on the ground, no time slackin.
My heart beats fast, but my hand is steady
I’m ready for the world, but is the world really ready.
I know what you’re thinking, and yeah it’ll be hard
But the Devils already here, Swing set, back yard.
Wake up, Step out, and embrace your calling
There’s more to life than Instagram balling.
Instant gratification, you need more likes
I look fresh in this picture, I hope she thinks it’s tight.
Music and television, its just not the same
We sit there like slugs and let filth cloud our brains.
Don’t be a sheep, wake up and gain knowledge
This stuff is made to control us and its becoming a problem.
Unplug from technology, maybe go on a walk
Have a conversation, just some food for thought.
Life is a journey and I hope you embrace it
It wont always be easy, but I know you can take it.
Spend time with family and the people you love
Take time out your day, give a stranger a hug.
We can all make a difference, all it takes is a choice
Refuse to be silent, and use that voice.
We are beautiful creatures, I truly believe it
There’s still love in this World, now let people see it.
I embraced God, and my life has been changed
