Confident instead of shy, peaceful instead of nervous, praying for my squad instead of myself, focused on my team of guys instead of my own growth, and actually know what I’m getting myself into this time instead of it being a mystery Haha.
I’m overjoyed at the fact that I get to go back to South Africa in a couple days to help lead our group of guys. This year is so much different than last year. I’ve never been in this type of leadership role before, so I’m so thankful for the opportunity God has given me. It’s going to be such a blast! It’s such a solid, joyful, funny, cool, God-loving group of guys. Our team name is abide. Keep us in your prayers to seize everyday, pursue God, and share the gospel with boldness.
From left to right it’s Mason, Luke, William, Drew, Alex, Zach (our squad leader), Jack, and Me of course! I’m not only excited to have such a fun time, but to also be intentional with each other and challenge and learn from each other. Iron sharpens iron. So happy I get to help disciple them and just be an example to them the first country of their race. We started our traveling yesterday and now we made it all the way to D.C. haha. We had about a 14 hour bus ride, we take off tonight for Qutar, have a little layover and then we fly to johannesburg, and then we have an 18 hour bus ride to Port Elizabeth, and then we finish it off with a couple hour ride to Jeffery’s Bay!!
Even though it’s so different this year, I’m still extremely excited, still have the main focus of sharing God’s love and the good news to everyone, still expectant for God to show up, still looking forward to learning more about God and growing closer to Him, and still hype to see more of His creation and do some wild adventures.
I’m fully funded, but it you feel led and would like to donate to the guys on my team that would be awesome. Thank you for all your prayers and support, much love and God bless.
