Hi All! This week has been crazy and honestly… I am exhausted. I’m taking most of this day to rest, but I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to share with you something so close to my heart.

(Prayer request’s are at the end of this blog)

I told you in my last blog we have the opportunity to work at the Birthing Clinic up the road. Well at the clinic here, mothers are able to start appointments from the moment they find out their are pregnant! At a normal check up they receive vitamins, vital checks, health/nutritional information and on special occasions they get ultrasounds! Most of the woman who give birth at this clinic are regular patiences, however there have been many that come in from the streets and towns whom cannot make it to and/or cannot afford the hospital. This past week I had the absolute honor to have worked with the midwives in this Birthing Clinic.

Wanna hear something awesome?

Four times I have stood by my sisters’ side and watched life come into this world. Four times I watched the umbilical cord be cut, the baby being swaddled and have heard their first cry as they laid across my their mothers chest. But what I hadn’t known in those moments as a young teenager, was that God had been preparing me for these moments here in the Philippines as a 22 year old woman.

When I signed up for the World Race, never in a million years had I expected to be in the Philippines assisting 3 births. I never thought that I’d be the one swaddling, cleaning, and warming the baby up just seconds after being born. And I never (EVER) thought my hands would be the first hands a baby were to fall into before being lifted up to their mother.

I’m beyond blessed to have seen life come into this world time after time and I thank Jesus I got to be a part of making that happen. The strength these Filipino mothers have is something I hope to take on for myself. The Joy in every mothers eye’s, after holding their baby for the first time, is something I long for. And although I have no plans to go into schooling for this field, I will always have a passion for motherhood and the beautiful journey it brings. I hope and pray I will have a journey of my own one day.

Lord, “You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psalms 139:13. I pray you make known your love to every child born here. I pray every time they are held, they feel the love of their Heavenly Father. Lord, I pray they learn as a child who you, and In Jesus’ name may these mothers tell them about you and the sacrifice you made for them because you care so deeply. When they grow up and begin to face the hardship and evil ways of this world, I beg you Lord that they are comforted in knowing they are being protected by you daily. And when they go hungry and feel faint, I pray they look to you for provision and strength… I thank you Jesus for this divine opportunity to help bring life into this world, I hope to never forget but always remember how precious life really is. I ask humbly that you teach me to be poor in spirit and learn what it means to put you first, that way I can love others in the way you know they really need it. Thank you for knowing me deeply, for loving me and seeing me from my own mothers womb. Thank you for the tribulation and brokenness of my life; because of it I know you. Lord I pray that you bless anyone reading this and make it known to them that they too are so deeply loved by you. Amen.

For my Prayer warriors out there, the enemy didn’t stay back in America when we crossed into foreign land. Please be praying for my team’s protection in the physical and spiritual. Please pray for unity in the Body of Christ within our team. I am learning the that it is a necessity yet can be difficult with a new family. Please pray that we remember that we are Sons and Daughters above all else and that we walk in the boldness and authority that was given to us in Jesus’ name. Thank you for your prayers.

– Love you all
