We made it halfway through the race! It’s month 5 and we’re in Myanmar this month. We’re getting a little taste of the 11n11 in Asia. We spent a month in Thailand, were here for a month, and we go back to Thailand for a month. Time is flying by!

This month we’re teachers at a mission college. Monday through Friday we teach English all day. We also get to preach every morning and every night!! We have the opportunity to really dive into being uncomfortable this month. And a lot of growth comes from that. We haven’t had to teach or preach much yet and we get to do a lot of both this month!

Our team is living with one other team and it’s been so so good! We have so much fun together. We cook together, teach together, eat  together, go on walks, and even help each other get the rats out of our house! (Yes we had two rats the first night). But it’s okay!

To be honest, the first night was a struggle. I haven’t had to live like this on the race yet and it was hard the first day. But I’m learning how to live more simple and that we actually don’t need a whole lot to make it by. We’re getting to bring more kingdom and it makes sleeping on the floor, showering with a bucket, and living with rats so worth it.

This is the little house our teams live in!

I think the lord is working on some really big things this month. In our own lives but also in the ministry here. There’s so much joy at this college and the teams here are really hungry for growth.

Today I’m thanking Jesus that we have a place to sleep, good food to eat, and great community to do this life with. Even if it’s not what we’re used to. Good things to come this month!
