Wow. I never imagined that when it came time for me to leave home, I would be leaving for 9 months, and traveling to 4 countries!! I’ve been looking forward to when it was finally my turn to start this new part of life. For years I thought it was college. I had been looking at colleges and planning it since I was young, but then God put some different and new plans into motion 🙂 and I’m overwhelmingly excited!! But all the times I get scared about leaving home and leaving my family, I always remember that I am going out to serve a GREAT God. A God who never fails. A God who forgives. A God of earth shattering power. And a God who gave His son for our mistakes. How crazy awesome is that? Fear could easily take over my feelings of excitement, but all that fear is washed away by the power of Jesus!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you’ I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

I was in the process of applying for the World Race during the summer between my junior and senior year. That summer I found myself a little alone. I had drifted away from some old friends, and there was else something missing. I didn’t know what it was, but God did. He blessed me with this new family I didn’t know I needed. He gave me a family of people who pray for me consistently, who support me in this crazy awesome adventure, and who understand me when I’m so excited I can’t get words out! To each of them: THANK YOU. I know Thanksgiving was yesterday, but I’m thankful every day!!
