This past month involved a lot of moving around as we traveled to Azerbaijan, Georgia (the country), and Turkey by freighter ship, train, and bus! I’m excited to be staying in one spot for the rest of this month in Biga, Turkey as we help out with a local church plant (more updates later).

Our coaches and mentor flew out from Texas and Georgia to be with us for our second to last debrief these last couple of weeks. They have been a huge source of support this year as they’ve discipled us and prayed for us. They encouraged us to finish strong and led us in casting vision for ourselves as we started thinking about our transition back to the states. Being able to spend time with them in Baku and Tbilisi was great, and I look forward to seeing them at our final debrief in Morocco. Crazy to think that final debrief is coming up in 2 months!

Here’s a quick story about God’s faithfulness in Baku. I met a New Zealander who was originally from Baku on the side of the road the first night we arrived. Long story short, our housing plans fell through and he found us a new place that night, and we got to share the good news of Jesus with him. My friend and I followed up with him over dinner the next week, and he told us that he had accepted Christ since running into us that first night! He saw how God was working in his life and used him to answer our prayers even before he came to know Christ. God is so faithful!

The videos below capture our adventures from this past month. The first one is an overview, and the second one goes into more detail about our trip across the Caspian Sea that my friend Alyssa put together. Check it out!
