Today was our last day of ministry. We have been teaching English here in Myanmar (a blog will soon be out about my daily life here).

Our last day, we held an Olympics Day. My team’s name was Victory. Our chant in broken English was “We Are Victory. V-I-C-T-O-R-Y”. We went around to all our stations super hyped and had a lot of fun! My goal was for my group to just have the most fun. We ended up coming in fourth but the smile on all of our faces was just the best thing possible.

Tonight, we had a farewell night. We were worshipping to the songs we have taught them in English. Let me tell you a bit about these kids. Every morning and every night, Monday-Sunday, we pray and worship. These kids worship so loud and with their entrie hearts. So I am standing here in a room of 60+ kids screaming out to Jesus on my last day of ministry on the race. I was overwhelmed by how good my God is and what all has happened in these last 9 months!

Mainly I want to talk about how I was overcome by hope during our worship time.

THERE IS HOPE!

In the last 9 months I have lived in 4 countries serving alongside people in their local community who give their entire self to the work of the Kingdom. I have seen people from 70 years old to 4 years old serving God where they are at. I have heard over 7 languages worshipping the same God with so much love and passion. I have seen people with a lot to people who have nothing give to others. Overall I have been invited into so many people’s lives and have been loved so greatly by them.

THERE IS HOPE!

Wherever you are, thank you for loving people with the love of God. Thank you for giving everything you have for the Kingdom. Thank you for worshipping Jesus in your language. Thank you for having a relationship with Jesus. Because there are people I have personally met in Costa Rica, South Africa, Thailand, Myanmar, and many other countries doing what you are doing, fighting the same fight.

THERE IS HOPE!

I have seen smiles come onto faces who never smiled before. I have seen eyes open to God who never thought they would. I have seen love transform people’s lives.

As I screamed this to a group of 8 in a pretend Olympics I also speak this over the nations …

WE ARE VICTORY!

Jesus lovers don’t lose hope. The God we serve is so much bigger than the problems that are before us. He is so much bigger than the walls people have built up so they won’t get hurt. Our God is even bigger than the nation you live in and seems like it is falling apart. Our God is bigger than than this world and He loves YOU. He is there for YOU. He cares for YOU and each other person around you.

WE ARE VICTORY!

The verse that has repeated itself many times here in Myanmar is Matthew 6:19-21 “Don’t keep hoarding for yourselves earthly treasures that can be stolen by thieves. Material wealth eventually rusts, decays, and loses its value. Instead, stockpile heavenly treasures for yourselves that cannot be stolen and will never rust, decay, or lose their value. For your heart will always pursue what you value as your treasure.”TPT

We live for heaven and not this earth. When you love someone, give to someone, spend your time serving, or whatever else that is, it is being stored in heaven and the Bible says you will be repaid four times as much. It is so worth everything we do even if it is hard on this earth.

So I am calling you all together here today to tell you you are doing great, you are making a difference, and you are not alone…literally there are people of all ages, of all nations, of all languages, and of all situations living for God too!

Thank you to every Jesus lover out there. you give us all the hope we need!

But now these three remain FAITH, HOPE, & LOVE. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

P.S. If you have any questions about this hope I am talking about please call me or message me or what ever else. I will definitely talk about it with you!

Thank you for reading!
