Last night for blogging team time, each of us wrote a blog for each other! You can check out what I said about Destiny on her blog or what others said about each other on my other teammates blogs. Here is a sweet message from my girl Lillian:

Hello friends and family of Emily! So honored to be writing this blog; Emily is the best! To start off, my name is Lillian and I am on team testify. I’ve had the privilege of living and serving alongside Emily for the past 5 months! We have painted toy boxes, played soccer, sang songs, watched movies, brushed our teeth, and so much more together since September. As you can see, we’ve spent lots and lots of time together! This has allowed me to see Emily change and grow on the race. The thing that stands out the most to me about her is her intentionality. Like Jesus, Emily never misses an opportunity to get to know someone. She is always the first person to approach a stranger. She makes everyone feel welcomed. Her intentionality can’t be stopped by language Barriers. I’ll never forget how much she tried to make our bus driver in Costa Rica feel loved. She would always sit up front with him and attempt to communicate to someone who spoke zero English. It truly was amazing. I remember thinking “that’s how Jesus is”. He stops at nothing to show his love to us. Emily is so interruptible and she truly cares about every single one of God’s children. Her conversations aren’t shallow either, she really has the ability to look into peoples lives within a five minute conversation. I always wonder how she does it, but that’s just Emily! I know if I’m going anywhere with her, I’m going to make friends, and isn’t that what it’s all about anyway? Making relationships that glorify God. We all could learn a thing or two about her kindness and courage in building relationships. Another amazing thing about her, is her unending joy. I don’t think I’ve ever heard her complain or say a negative thing about anyone. She is constantly finding her joy in the Lord and not the things of this world. If you know her, you know her joy is contagious. It’s no use trying to be sad around her, her smile lights up any room! Emily has taught me that a positive attitude really changes atmospheres. We all know the race isn’t easy, but she takes on each day with a joyful heart that encourages me to do the same. Last thing about Emily: she is determined. That girl never gives up. Whether it be trying to build a relationship or plan an adventure or just learn a new skill, she is determined! That’s probably part of the joyful attitude, because when you know that Gods got it all under control, you can keep trying. I admire that about her. So that’s Emily for you! I’m sure all of you know this, but it never hurts to have a reminder. She is changing lives and building kingdom. She has continued to grow so much since being on the race and I can’t wait to see how God uses her for the rest of her life!

I love you Emily!!!
