On the first day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers in a log cabin. We worshiped and prayed as we experienced our new beautiful home! We then turned on some Christmas jams and gathered around the table. With needles and thread in our hands, scissors and markers and fabric, we sewed away. We giggled and laughed. We pricked our fingers a few times and grew frustrated with our lack of technique. But the finished product was 24 stockings all hanging on the stairs, each with our names written in sharpie.
On the second day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers gathered in the sandy beaches of Jeffery’s Bay watching fireworks. We had a long day checking out the shops and laying on the beach. At the end of the night, red and green fireworks lit up the night sky over the ocean. It was a beautiful night.
On the third day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers watching a documentary about the Jesus! We can’t forget about the true reason we celebrate Christmas, Amiright?! Might as well watch a documentary about him! Haha but actually it was a really cool, powerful documentary. Molder and Nicky, 2 volunteers at Global set up a screen and speakers for us and showed us this documentary. And now we have this screen in our living room for multiple Christmas movies in the next few days! Yay!
On the fourth day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers drinking hot cocoa and Christmas tree decorating! We all pitched in and bought a cute fake Christmas tree. We decorated it up by making Christmas ordaments of all of my squads faces!! It is hilarious. After this we did some Christmas worship together. This worship session was insanely touched by the Holy Spirit. We ended the night literally all dancing around our cabin together, jumping up and down like fools for Jesus (: So much fun.
On the fifth day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers cuddled up watching The Polar Express. We grabbed our popcorn, hot cocoa and sleeping bags and all piled into the living room. We couldn’t get the big screen to work so we ended up watching the movie on a laptop! Everyone slowly got tired or fell asleep on the floor. Eventually everyone went to bed but me hehe and so I finished it with the laptop in my lap and lots of Christmas cheer. Oh how I love Christmas movies.
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers cuddled up watching Elf. This movie is most definitely my all-time favorite Christmas movie! I enjoyed sitting all snuggled together, drinking hot cocoa and laughing together during this hilarious, comical movie.
On the seventh day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers doing Christmas Trivia! We were challenged to the core with questions regarding every Christmas movie you could think of! I also spent this afternoon shopping for Christmas presents! I LOVE Christmas shopping!!!! I ended up buying my team some cute, scented bars of soap. I’m excited to wrap them up with bows and put them under our little Christmas tree (:
On the eighth day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers watching the sunset! Honestly, we didn’t do any Christmasy things today! We were planning to do Christmas karaoke but we didn’t have the songs ready and we didn’t have WiFi! But instead, we all grabbed some hot cocoa, sat and admired Gods masterpiece in the sky, then danced around together as we praised Him!
On the ninth day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers doing a white elephant gift exchange!! It was literally the greatest thing ever. Our rules were we cannot buy anything… we could only make our gifts or find them. We had a very wide variety of gifts!! I personally made a cross with 2 pieces of wood and a nail in the middle, Kenzie gave a massage coupon, Maggie gave a Polaroid picture of her foot, Molder gave a flower planted in a bottle cap, Lillian gave a tumbleweed, and there were many other hilarious gifts that we all traded about. We had quite the blast. Also today, Wendy (our house mom) took me to print out pictures for the girls on my team. We also went and bought cute paper and ribbon and I made them all cute little cards with pictures on them to give them for Christmas. It was a great day.
On the tenth day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers worshipping on the beach! There was an amazing service right on the beach, hundreds of people around and stopping to hear the gospel! Praising Jesus’ name! It was amazing. We then came home and watched the movie Four Christmases!
On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers baking and decorating Christmas cookies!Cassie- my squad leader- and I ran to the store and got some final Christmas presents and all the ingredients to make some cookies! We looked for Christmas cookie cutters for forever but we sadly couldn’t find any! Luckily we found lots of sprinkles and frosting colors. We had a blast making cookies and drinking hot cocoa. Then we all had a sleepover in the living room on our sleeping pads and fell asleep watching It’s a Wonderful Life.
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love (Jesus) gave to me 24 world racers opening presents!!!! We first went to a lovely church service! We then came home and had a delicious brunch. Next we spent a few hours all opening our lovely presents from each other. We next had a delicious Christmas dinner together as a family. It was so nice. And lastly we watched the Grinch.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!!! I have definitely enjoyed my celebrations and I hope you enjoy yours as well. Don’t forget the reason we celebrate today as you attend all your Christmas festivities.
