A couple weeks ago I was reading through Exodus. In chapter 34 it talks about how when Moses came off the mountain from speaking with God His face shown. He was so bright from being in Gods presence. Moses was radiating. He absolutely shined from being in Gods glorious presence. How beautiful!
You know when two people are in love or are newly weds. They are so enamored by one another. Smiles and eyes that only shine for each other. There’s a bit of a glow in these individuals who have been bitten by the love bug.
The thought of glowing from Gods presence in my life hit me. To be so enamored with Jesus that all of me radiates Him. We now have that freedom of being in His presence always. To be filled with His Spirit with the acceptance of Him. What a privilege given to us by the gift of Jesus and His death. The veil tore in the temple giving us the ability to be in His presence. Moses had to cover his face after being with God. No more protection needed. No more countless offerings to cover the unending sins in my life. The freedom of being in His presence and the joy of it is crazy! The Old Testament really solidified that in my mind.
We have a cry deep in our hearts. We are made to radiate Him.
Lord,
I want to radiate you. To be so fully in the presence of you. To be in a place of rest in you despite the craziness of life. My heart is that everyone who sees me would just see you. Shine through me.
We are created to be intimate with God. In the garden of Eden God walked with Adam and Eve. He was in their midst fellowshipping alongside them. All of creation sang their praises. Now the Holy Spirit lives inside us walking with us through all mountain and valleys of life, guiding us for His glory. The presence of God that Moses got to experience we now have a piece of that inside of us. How much more should we radiate Him?
