My teammates and I decided to mix things up a bit and write a blog about one another for each other. So the following is just that!

Destiny

A message to Destiny’s followers:

How do I even put my girl Destiny into words? I’m sure gonna try but there are countless words that will not even fit into this blog. Here is my best description of my beautiful Dest:

I see Destiny as a daughter. One sought out after by the most high King. I see destiny sitting on her fathers lap, laughing and smiling. She gazes up at her father in awe. I always recognize Destiny being in awe of her father. Whether it be in the ocean, a rainbow or a cup of coffee. She recognizes her father in every moment. I’ve seen her give thanks to the inheritance her father has given her countless times. She is not afraid to come to her father. And lastly, she knows she is a loved daughter. She walks this out in her everyday life boldly.

I next see her as a child. I see her dancing around in a field of sunflowers or on the ocean sand, singing loudly to the heavens. She has a faith like a child and it is beautiful. Her playful sass always prevails as a light in the darkness places and she never fails to be herself, regardless of the circumstance.

I see Destiny as a bold woman.

She echos wisdom through the trees. She is bold in confident in the way she walks and the way she speaks. She desires to be the righteous woman the Lord has called her to be and even when she falls short, she stands back up boldly in the grace she is given and takes even a stronger step forward. Nothing can stand between her and what she wants as she fights for what the Lord sets before her and doesn’t give up hope. She is a woman of beauty and worthiness. She is a woman with a kind heart. And she is a woman, in love with the most amazing man- Jesus.

And lastly, I see Destiny as a friend. We have grown tremendously in our friendship on the race and she has been there fighting for me at all times. She doesn’t give up on her people. She has given me endless streams of wisdom and a love that shines through every hug and smile. She has called me to be a woman of integrity. I thank her for this and for being that rock to me when I need it. Her love pours out onto all her friends. I am thankful to be not only her teammate, but her friend.

A message to Destiny:

Destiny,

You have grown so very much. You have given over the hard things to Jesus and pressed forward. You have become strong and bold. You are absolutely beautiful inside and out and I want you to never forget it. You are a daughter, a child, a woman and a friend, all wrapped up in one. It is truly inspiring how you fit into each of these roles so well by simply being you. Never forget how loved and cherished you are by the most high king. He will always be there and have your back. Thank you for being an friend that loves me well, even when we live together and at times it can be hard to hehe (; know I love you so much and I will always cherish the presence you have in my life. Keep growing, keep being you, and never give up on what the Lord has before you. Xoxox

Sincerely,

Emily Eggerling
