I wrote a blog to end last month. It was a photo blog, but WiFi problems prevented me from being able to post. I’ve been way out in a rural area of Zambia this month with all the men, so I basically just haven’t had wifi this month. In some ways it is refreshing, but I do want to keep all of you supporters in the loop. I do appreciate your support for this second go round! Since I’ve first left in August 2018 you’ve raised over $22,000 in support for what God is up to in my life and around the world. THANK YOU! I write these blogs for y’all.

I’ll post the photo blog when I get to the States, but it is a basic overview with pictures from all team Kindle and I did last month in Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe. We built aplayground, preached at schools, put on a concert, met with families that suffer in various ways from HIV/AIDS, taught evangelism, and shared the Gospel pretty much always. Of course we also took a few opportunities to have fun. We visited some caves that were in town one afternoon after ministry with our host, and we ended our time in Vic Falls before crossing the border to Zambia!

Now I’m a little over a week into “MANISTRY” with 9 other dudes excluding our squad mentor Jeremy who had to leave a couple days ago. Manistry is a special time on the Race, because it’s a rare thing to get all the guys together on the Race. It’s a time to build lasting brotherhood. On my original Race there was only two other guys on my squad so we were mostly all together anyway, but for these guys they spend lots of time split up on different teams so it’s a beautiful thing that we can all be together now.

We’ve been staying as I mentioned before in a very rural part of Zambia and on the 24th we go to stay in an even more rural area. Here people lack Bibles, but they hunger for God’s word. Everything is very apparently spiritual in Africa and just as we’ve been running into since we were in South Africa there is a lot of syncretism. People worship their ansestors and try to mix it with professing Jesus. So we have worked with a local church through Strategic Impact, and staying in the home of our local pastor. They have a few kids and the deacons of the church and their families are almost always here too. If we aren’t here we are all out in the community ministering. We have been doing house to house evangelism all month sometimes here and sometimes in a neighboring rural community to help out another pastor. In our down time we’ve been studying Hebrews, playing cards, having feedback sessions, worship sessions, talking about anything, bathing, and playing with the youngest son of the family Melumbu.

Anyway there is a general update. Looking forward to being home in November to see everyone! Please reach out. Facebook, WhatsApp, or email works best for me right now. Love you all.
