Today I landed in Kathmandu, Nepal where I will be serving for about a month. A couple days ago I was praying over Nepal and writing out some sort of poemy-prayer thing.. so I thought I’d share it with you!
Nepal
Gods and idols all around
Blessed by foods and precious offerings
Yet they don’t see You, the God who provides all things
Temples made delicately and with great care
But the way You knit them together in their mother’s womb
Is forgotten, they actually aren’t even aware
Aren’t aware of Your power and glory
Aren’t aware that You are the God who knows their story
Knows their name, their face, the darkness they hide in
That you bled and died on the cross for their freedom, took on each and every one of their sins
Nepal
Chosen sons and daughters who are oh so broken
and You will always invite them in.
Use me O Lord in this country
May I be a vessel of Your light
May the love of Jesus be known to these people simply by the way I walk and act and serve
May You bring the people to ask me questions about You, about who You are and what You did on the cross
May I glorify and honor You in every step that I take around Kathmandu
Use me O Lord in ways I’ve never known
Make me a servant and slave to Your righteousness
Make me a stepping stone that someone can walk across to enter into Your Kingdom
Make me courageous in loving the lost and lonely
Make me whatever You want me to be
Use me O Lord
More I will worship You
More I will follow Your Holy Spirit
More i will surrender to You
More I will die to myself to follow You
Hold me and keep me Father of all creation
In Your name forever and ever
Amen
I would love if you could be praying for my squad and I’s safety in our time here, as well as for the will of the Father to be done through each of us!
