Welcome!
Hey everyone, and welcome to my World Race blog!! I am extremely excited to announce that I have been accepted to be apart of the World Race: Gap Year in 2018-2019! I have known that entering the ministry is what God has called me to do, but the door for international missions has not been opened until now. The door is now open, and I am following in obedience!
The Gap Year is a 9 month long mission trip where I’ll travel across three continents serving and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. The route that I have prayerfully chosen will take me to Costa Rica, South Africa, Myanmar, and Thailand.
I have never been further outside of my comfort zone…I’ve never been on a mission trip before, I’ve never stepped foot out of the country, I’ve never ridden on an airplane, and I’ve never been away from my family and friends for more than a week or two at a time. Under my own power, there would be no way for me to muster the endurance for a 9 month long mission trip. I am so thankful that I serve a God that shows his strength in my weaknesses, and promises never to leave my side.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness…”
