There have been so many things going on in the past month that I cannot do one simple Facebook Live video to catch you all up so here it is:
For anyone that has never fundraised before let me tell you…it is the hardest and most awkward thing Christ has ever asked of me. Anyone who has fundraised knows this to be true.
My first mission trip, I didn’t fundraise at all. A couple blessed me and funded me 100%. Boy was I unprepared for the next one….I went to Africa next and that was a WHIRLWIND of emotions. Long story short, I was on the living room floor bawling my eyes out telling God I must have got it wrong and that I wasn’t meant to go…a few days later, I was 100% fully funded.
I know…embarrassing…but God still loves me.
Next trip, I paid for (which means God paid for it because He gave me my job) and a surprise person donated the remainder.
Now $18,700 later, I am looking at being funded to the point my faith family will come alongside me.
Strangers, other churches, ex-boyfriend’s, my family, friends that are basically family, children I have got to steward, faith family members, and coworkers have donated to spread the Gospel. I mean really, it has been crazy. Not every day does a donation appear (I wish I could say that in every one of those quite moments I don’t send up a worried prayer) but the past few weeks they have. It has been like a flood of prayers (which are more important than I could put into words) and sacrificial giving.
I have every single item I need. I have my tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, waterproof cover, my pack, and y’all I even have a fork and spoon. Oh! I also have a fire starter…does anyone know if I can take that on a plane??
The Facebook auctions that have gone on have rocketed me to meeting goals and deadlines…in case I haven’t shared how exciting it is to be a member of church family that is Bible based and believes in making God known, Stonepoint is coming alongside and matching every donation…(God cut my number in half in moments..I love Him) so I am $2675 away from the point that Stonepoint will match. I AM SO THANKFUL THAT I BELONG TO A BODY THAT HAS A DESIRE TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL AMONG ALL NATIONS AND TRIBES.
All this to say, there are still more ways to be apart of something that has an eternal impact.
Would you pray for my team and myself?
Would you prayerfully consider coming alongside me and consider donating financially to this mission?
Would you then lift my family up in prayer?
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU TO EVERY PERSON that has prayed and helped.
