Cimone Irene
The first time I met Cimone at training camp, I was greeted with one of the biggest hugs I have ever gotten from such a small person. And those hugs have been changing my life ever since!
Our first month on the World Race in the Dominican Republic was all squad month. We were living with all 33-34 people in our squad including our leadership team, that is a LOT of personality.
In the DR, each team was assigned a day to clean up after meals and to do the dishes. As I was clearing up dinner, I had a very shocking interaction with one of my squad mates. Hurt by the encounter, I put down what I was doing and retreated to the kitchen in tears. Cimone was about to ask for my help for something but stopped midsentence when she saw the hurt on my face. She immediately dropped everything just to give me a hug.
Cimone is a compassionate encourager. Her hugs heal broken hearts and her smile lights up any room. She is eager to reach out to the outcasts and love on those who need it most. She has a heart for children that reflects the same heart that Jesus has.
I have learned so much about faith and really relying on God from the four short months that I have lived with Cimone. Even when all odds are against her, she stands firm in her faith that the Lord will fulfill His promises.
p.s. she is FULLY FUNDED!!!
