First of all I say thank you to you, her support system, for being an encouragement and a huge part in putting Claire here on the world race! She talks about those back home with such love and gratefulness, and I know she counts you all as very important!

I’ve had the great privilege of having Claire as my team leader for these first 4 months. She’s taught me a lot about being a humble leader. There were times that we didn’t get our ministry assignments until the very very last minute, but she didn’t freak out or get frustrated. And other times plans changed at the 11th hour, yet she made the adjustments with ease. She’s led the team in being open and vulnerable with each other. She has a gift in asking the right questions at just the right time. She also makes sure her team is well taken care of and we know she’s done everything she can to get things done right for us.

Her joy and excitement in seeing the sights of other countries has been contagious. I’ve enjoyed being on the receiving end of many a happy dance when she sees something she’s never seen before. Claire also seems to like long travel days, and gets excited when she gets to pop a melatonin and sleep the ride away.
She’s very talented in putting her experiences into vlog form! I know for a fact that you, as her support system, probably aren’t the only ones who benefit from following her journey through the videos she’s posts.

I’ve seen Claire step out boldly in evangelism, teach kids crazy songs and dance with them, tell the ‘Daniel in the Lions Den’ story with lots of enthusiasm, kick soccer balls with the kids in the neighborhood, surf the waves of Jeffrey’s Bay, use her talents as a musician to teach at a music school, climb as high as she dared to pound nails, hang out the van window to wave and get people to smile at her, step out in leadership with grace and so much joy, and get so excited about things that she cries. There are so many things she’s been able to experience and enjoy and I’ve been so glad to be a part of her journey so far!

Thank you so much for sharing this young lady! And I’m so grateful I got to meet her!

(Also pray that things would work out for Claire to get a laptop again soon. We don’t want her to be too far behind in her editing and vlog making, do we?)

From, Charity
