Hi everyone, my name is Claire! I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and I now call Costa Mesa, California my home. Over the years, I have learned how to surf, play many instruments, take photos, make short films, and even how to do improv comedy! I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 7th grade at church camp and since that moment, God has constantly been teaching me what his grace and faithfulness looks like.
But even this doesn’t tell who I am, these are descriptions of what I do, where I live, and where I came from. Who am I? I am chosen. I am forgiven. I am loved. I am called. And above all, I am in desperation to become more like Christ.
I am chosen.
Psalm 139:13&14 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
I am forgiven.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “For if a man belongs to Christ, he is a new person. The old life is gone. New life has begun!”
I am loved.
Romans 8:37-39 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
I am called.
1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
I am desperate to be more like Christ.
Galatians 2:20 “I have been put up on the cross to die with Christ. I no longer live. Christ lives in me. The life I now live in this body, I live by putting my trust in the Son of God. He was the One Who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
My journey in following Christ has taken me all over the country and now, it is taking me all over the world through the WorldRace. I have been called to leave the comfort of my home to travel for 11 months to 11 countries for the sole purpose of spreading the gospel.
This is who I am. And it is also who you are. You are chosen, forgiven, loved and called. Please join me in this journey through prayer, financial support, or even words of encouragement. But most of all, follow my blog to keep updated through this crazy adventure!
