This week, I have interviewed another one of my teammates, Carrie Grace, or CG!

Age: 19

Hometown: Campbellton, FL

Favorite Food: Shrimp

Why did you decide to come on the Race?

I prayed about it and I did not feel called to go to college yet, so I started looking for mission trips. I found the Race and the Lord was like, “this is for you.” So that is why I decided to come on the World Race.

What is the biggest thing that the Lord has taught you?

Probably, patience. As in, I have learned to become patient with people and not snap at them, and also in patience in waiting for what God has for my future.

What has been your favorite country? Why?

Swazi because of all my Swazi babies. Probably because of Queso, to be absolutely honest with you. And the food was good, and I miss the compound. And stars, I miss those.

What is your favorite memory on the Race?

I have 2- my birthday. Gil,Lil, Nate, and Brie stayed up with my until midnight and they had a cake for me. We celebrated my birthday, and the next day y’all had my music playing and my little table for my birthday. Also, at first debrief, when Ashley, Meg, Mak, and I watched Aquamarine. Or in the team times when we just giggle all the time and can’t stay focused. I genuinely love those.

What has been the hardest thing about the Race so far?

Christmas and Gorkha, because Gorkha was just hard, and I didn’t want to be there. That is where I spent Christmas. Christmas was still good, it was just hard, and it wasn’t home, and it was an adjustment.

In what ways do you hope to grow as a person over the remaining 3 months?

Spiritually, I would like to grow in my relationship with the Lord and actually have a desire to grow that relationship with Him. Emotionally, prepare myself for coming home. As a person in general, making friends in Guatemala.
