I cannot even begin to explain the excitement running through my body! Prayers have been answered as the Lord has provided every cent that I need to complete this race, the track that He has set before me. It has been such a humbling experience, releasing all control to the Lord. Raising $15,800 is not something that can be done in my power. It had to come from the Lord and His provision.
AND we leave for Africa on Sunday, the 9th.
Going to Africa is an absolute dream come true. Since I was a little girl I have heard countless stories from my step-grandma, Marilyn, who previously lived in Sierra Leone. The stories that she told and the pictures that I saw left me dreaming of experiencing it for myself. I have always said that one day I would go there, but I cannot believe that the day has finally arrived. I cannot wait!
We will be working with a ministry called HopeEthiopia and living in a small village about 2 hours away from the capital city. Please pray for safe travels as we embark on our journey there and pray for the people that we will encounter along the way and when we arrive. This travel day, I want to stay focused, remembering that sharing the gospel is not something that happens strictly during ministry but a joyous adventure that we get to embark on in every moment of our days.
ALSO, I’ll be making another travel day video so keep your eyes out for it!
