We started the day off right with a breakfast for champions. They feed us so well here and the Cook is one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met. I tease Roy that I am going to bring her home to America with me.

My day got even better when Roy asked me to help him organize his tool shed! I absolutely love doing projects like this so I was one happy camper!

After lunch we had an amazing opportunity to go to a Children’s Home about 30 minutes away. John brought a bunch of goodies to give to the kids since he met them last time he was here. Bandanas, key chains, post cards and candy brought smiles to every kids face.

As soon as I stepped out of the van, this little man ran up to me, grabbed my hand, and dragged me into the house. He didn’t speak much English but his hugs and love for selfies made up for it.

Here are some of the older boys with their gifts from John. These guy’s were awesome and we had fun playing soccer and basketball together.

This sweet girl taught me about her favorite flowers which are actually the blossoms from an Acacia tree. Not only do these flowers help produce some of the most prized honey in Romania, but they also provide a nutritious snack for ranchers and sheppard’s. When in full bloom, you can eat the blossom just like you would a clover!

These boys thought it would be fun to teach me how “Romanian’s play”. That plant in the boy’s hand is known as a “Stinning Nettle”. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a plant that “stings” as soon as you touch it’s leaves. They chased me around for a while hitting me with them and then asked to see the hive-like patches the Nettle created. Although I was itchy for a while, it was such a blessing to hang out with these kids.
Today was an amazing day full of laughter and joy. I pray that we will be able to return to the Home one last time before we leave!
