50 things i’ve learned at 50%

1. I am not qualified, but my Father is and all I have to do is allow Him to work through me.
2. Do Not flush your toilet paper in costa rica EVER
3. Your testimony can feed spiritual poverty (use it.)
4. chocolate almond might be the best ice cream flavor in the world
5. If He calls you to it He WILL see you through it. everytime.
6. Walmart is highly taken for granted, when I saw one I almost cried.
7. He turns mourning into dancing
8. living by the boys bathroom is stinky and loud (concerts in the shower were regular)
9. We all have blind spots and it is the responsibility of our brother’s and sister’s to point them out in love
10. peanut butter in costa rica is expensive and used only for emergencies
11. His promises and mercies start with “Go.”
12. cold showers really wake you up in the morning
13. pray Heaven down, see His kingdom all around you on Earth
14. apparently people in Costa Rica tuck their shirts into their underwear
15. look ahead, God has your back you don’t even have to look that way
16. people in costa don’t know the difference between cookies and crackers
17. we are afraid of fire because it hurts, fire is the thing that makes you worth more than gold
18. in the caribbean you float without moving
19. you are not your past, you are HIS past
20. there is a weird chewy layer on the outside of every lollipop in costa rica
21. be transformed to transform others
22. costa rican people are not very good at typing
23. take time to discover how God lives in every single person
24. no one in costa wears open toed shoes. it’s unheard of

43. God has to get back on the throne of our hearts, we can praise the blessings instead of the blesser
44. the monkey dance is also a suitable workout
45. we are “sweetly broken” and only our Father can mend us together with His love
46. sarcasm is the most spoken language in SA (i’m thriving)
47. the church isn’t supposed to stay where it is and invite people in but to meet people where they are at
48. kombucha is big in jbay. me and 2 of my teammates are lovin it
49. the Lord is the definition of peace, when you think its impossible to be comfortable teaching in front of a group, the Lord will surprise you
50. the longest town name translates to “two buffalos were shot with the same bullet while playing in a water fountain”

I’ve learned a lot the past five months, about my Father, myself, my team members and the countries i’ve visited. heres a little taste of that.
I’m sorry for the delay in posting, i’ve been working at a camp in South Africa it’s been the greatest but very very jampacked.
