I’ve written this more as an anthem for myself in this season of chasing after the Father, but I felt compelled to share it. Here are some of my thoughts. All the love my sweet friends.
What is true? What is right? What is important? These are the questions we ask ourselves. It would be simple, you see, if there were some algorithm or solution to the daunting questions. But many times there is not, or a solution purely cannot be grasped. Often I find myself trying to write out rules that become messy, formed by my personal convictions. What do I think is true? What do I think is right or important? It’s a self governance of sorts. We all do it. But something I have found is that my truth, guided by selfish need and ignorance, does not compare to the truth of the ultimate judge. Abba, Father knows what is right and what is just. He is truth. And what can be important without him? Everything fades away that is not made to exalt the kingdom. Everything. So let us as sons and daughters, realign our minds and paradigms to point to heaven. What does Father say is true? What is just in his eyes? Is this thing or circumstance pointing to the King? Does it glorify him? Does it please him? Is it good? And let us not be the judge of this, but let us turn to the one who wrote it all; every life, every breath, every creation. The author of heaven. And the mindless searching for answers can come to an end.
“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.”
