It’s been a crazy couple of weeks full of lots of tight hugs and tears. I’m still trying to digest that I’m on a plane to Guatemala and home is going to be far far away for the next nine months. But I have confidence that throughout this journey the Lord will give me little pieces of home. And man it’s just going to be so good. I feel it in my bones. This week I want to share some snapshots of my journey to Guatemala so that in a way I can carry you along with me. Enjoy!

Our gracious treasurer Abbey went out and grocery shopped for us. (She’s an angel) We inventively partook in iron grilled cheeses in a hotel room at launch. It was pretty cool pretty funny not entirely effective. But still 10/10 recommend.

We woke up at 2:30 am and piled on a shuttle to the airport with our oversized packs and yawns. Some nice man brought us a rolling trolly thing to help carry them. He was kind.
This is Mady. She’s a sunflower and I love her in all her bead necklace razor scooter goodness.

In this moment I got to share a moment of genuine excitement with Jesus. Excitement I had felt before in theory but it never really dug down to my core. Looking out of the tiny plane window over Guatemala I felt romanced by the Lord. I’m so thankful for the intimacy he so freely gives me.

Room 5 will be my team’s home for the next three months. The base is beautiful. The people are the most generous joyous bunch. God is ever present here.
Soon I will go much more in depth with the experiences, ministry, people, etc. that my team and I will be a part of. For now as I settle in I just want to express my gratitude for the grande support I have back in the states. I couldn’t be more thankful for your love. God is doing something big in Guatemala. He told me the other day that “the kingdom is going to come through this group” (my squad), and I don’t know what that looks like but I’m stoked to watch and see what he does. please continue to lift us up in your prayers as we dive deep into this journey. Bless!
