Being on the field for nine months teaches you a variety of lessons. It teaches you how important an encouraging christian community is, how much God can work in such a short amount of time, and how God loves us more then we will ever know. Being a disciple is not easy but it is the most rewarding thing in life. I’ve learned that being present is so important because we aren’t promised tomorrow, God has my future in his hands, fear is a liar, and much more. Coming to an end in this chapter that was just the beginning, I’ve been praying and looking into what the next chapter is.
After lots of prayer and talking to my family, I’ve decided to do this Program called CGA!
CGA is a program that is apart of Adventures in missions, much like the race. It is a 5 month program(August 2nd-December 14th) in Gainesville, Georgia. I have talked to many racers who did this after their race and they said it was 100% worth it. In these next 5 months I will be having classes Monday-Friday learning more about the Bible, Jesus, and myself. This program will expand on the numerous lessons I learned on the race and teach me how to apply my knowledge to everyday life at home. I will have to raise $6,000 for this program but I fully believe God will be just as faithful in providing me these funds as he was in providing for my race.
Throughout the process of coming to this decision I have learned that its ok if not everyone agrees with what you’re doing. However, I am beyond blessed to have parents and a family who will forever support me no matter what I do. My parents are the most amazing, they have always told me there is nothing I could ever do to make them love me less. I respect them with my entire being and sought their opinion on CGA as I considered attending. They loved me enough to ask questions about it and pray through it with me. They told me I need to above all else to do what I feel will serve God’s kingdom best. College is something I definitely see myself doing soon but for now I am going to pursue this. I actually plan to start college 2nd semester after CGA, but you never know what God will do and how he’ll move.
Like I said earlier, it will be another thing where I will be fundraising $6,000. I am 100% confident I can and will be able to raise this money! I know God will provide in crazy ways just like he did for the race and I’m excited to see the new ways he will do it!
I want to truly thank all of you who support me and love me so well. You are all such a blessing! If you feel led to donate to my $6000, That would be so appreciated. If not that is totally ok, a prayer is so appreciated as well.
God reminds me everyday that my future is in his hands, therefore I will not fear.
Thank you Jesus for all you do:))
I am truly forever blessed.
