Imagine being so poor your only option of receiving enough money to care for your family is to stand on the side of the road, wearing barely anything, and grab men by the arm as they pass to beg them to follow you into the “establishment.” Not knowing your worth, either getting ignored everyday or getting “lucky” with the man whose heart is aching to be filled by something in his lost state.
My heart aches. God’s heart aches. The crazy part is that it’s like this all over the world and most of the time we just sit back and act like it’s not a big deal. Like it’s normal. People all over the world are selling their bodies because they don’t know their worth! No one has ever sat down and told them who they really are. How much God loves them! That there is a way out!
I have always had a passion for women who don’t know their worth and now this passion has grown.
Something I’ve learned here on the race is that God has a specific mission for each of us. The issue is if we actually choose to listen or not. Sometimes those things he asks us to do seem crazy, but those things could change a life. For example, a speaker once told me God instructed him to go say a seemingly random prophetic word to a young girl. He hesitated and refused to go but then he felt a powerful voice telling him he needed to, so he did. When he told the girl the word she started balling. Turns out she had stopped going to church a while ago and her mom had been begging her to come back. The girl told her mom that the only way she would go is if a random person came and told her this word from God. It’s so cool the things God uses us for, if only we would listen.
Everyone in the entire world craves love. The thing is, you will never know/find true love until you know/find the person of love, Jesus. There is no greater love than someone who dies to have a relationship with you! It’s an unconditional love like no other.
These women on the side of the streets have never heard what true love is. Some have never heard the name of Jesus before and they won’t until someone says yes to God’s prompting. Your neighbor may have never have heard the name of Jesus. That worker at your favorite restaurant. That rando you sit next to at school or work. People on this earth are dying without hearing the name of Jesus and it’s because we refuse to say yes. Our world is craving love and we have the exact answer to it, but we choose to keep the answer to ourselves. You see if we, as children of God, love comfort, then how are we supposed to say yes when God wants us to do something uncomfortable?
I was once craving love and worth and someone told me the answer was God. My life changed forever. I want everyone to feel the love I feel every day. The type of love that will pursue you no matter what. That will be with you wherever you go. The love that will truly change your life forever, that is my prayer. That you will remember the time you craved love and the day you found the answer and your life changed forever. Not only that you will remember, but that it will set a fire in your soul to share that love with everyone. God is going to use you, you just have to say one word: Yes.
