My journey with Hope Soap began with a dear friend of mine, Hanna. I spent part of my summer in Uganda ministering to villages through Africa Family Rescue. While I was there, God ignited a desire in my heart to continue to travel the world, love on His people and spread the news of His love and grace. I began looking for more opportunities to continue this mission that He started in my heart. One of my teammates in Africa told me about the World Race. The World Race is a crazy adventure where I would go to 11 countries in 11 months sharing the Word of God with the unreached in the 10/40 window.

Which brings me back to my friend, Hannah. Hannah had just returned from her own overseas mission trip where she volunteered to help with the refugee crisis in the Middle East. She was one of the first people that I told about my crazy World Race adventure.

Hanna created Hope Soap as a fundraiser for her trip this summer. Selling soaps and bath products to bring hope to people around the world… she is awesome, y’all.

After I was accepted for my route on the World Race, I had not started to think about fundraising ideas yet. Hanna approached me at church and said, “I can’t give you any money, but I can teach you to make soap!!” She took it a step further…she gave me her brand! In our small community, people being familiar with the name on a product has been huge.

I am honored to use Hope Soap to raise money to fund my race and spread the good news of the Gospel to the people around the world. After my first pop-up sale at Mimosas at the Market, I realized that this opportunity is multi-faceted. Hope Soap gave me the opportunity to talk to countless people on a Saturday morning outside of my favorite coffee shop about this crazy thing I’m doing…because I serve a crazy awesome God! Hope Soap is spreading the good news of a God who saves right here in my community, and I am so excited to watch Him work.
