Whew! Okay so this month has flown by. It has been incredible and I have absolutely fallen in love with Bolivia. From the telefericos to the ministry, everything has been so sweet.
My first week here was spent in La Paz at a lutheran church in the miraflores neighborhood. In the mornings my team and I painted around the church, brick walls and murals. Then from 2-6 in the afternoon we put on a children’s program. We played games (bingo has been such a hit), colored, taught english, and shared bible stories-songs-verses which the kiddos then performed for the church on Sunday.

On Saturday we were able to put on a Beauty for Ashes event for the women of the church. We were able to connect and share with the 15 ladies who came and the men of the congregation even gathered together to serve us tea time. My teammate Katie wrote a sweet blog about it with a video which you can find here…. https://katiefreeman.theworldrace.org/post/beauty-for-ashes

THEN we took a 12 hr+ or so road trip to Apolo, which is where our host Juan grew up. There we got in a little camping, unplugged time without wi-fi and put on more childrens programs. We got back late last night, packing up today and heading to Uyuni for a little adventure before we head to Argentina!
