Merry Christmas from South America. It‘s definitely been difficult to be away from family during the holidays but the Christmas season here in Peru has been such a blessing. It’s looked a bit like…

•karaoke (the team & I killed it with ‘Let it Go’ & ‘Feliz Navidad’)

•jamming out to Christmas music while making cookies and popcorn balls, Christmas crack and hot chocolate.

•watching The Grinch.

•watching Elf.

•staying up all night, not watching for Santa but trying to catch a rat.

•The Christmas Eve service was beautifully candlelit since our power went out.

•Peruvian traditions! Waiting to eat dinner until 11pm and setting off fireworks at midnight!

•chocolatada: evangelizing, handing out hot chocolate & panettone on the street.

•reading the Christmas story on Christmas Day

•hot chocolate

•playing games (code names is our fave)

•eating pie and French toast

•white elephant gift exchange
