This month we are in Quito and the foundacion we are partnered with has us doing construction! Kind of a surprise since they are primarily a feeding program. They are building a house for a family that has experienced catastrophe after catastrophe. 2 months ago their house burned down and a month after that the father died of cancer. This past week we’ve been working at the site. Carrying cement, digging through wreckage, digging holes, mixing cement and applying it to the walls, and playing with the grandkids. Just anything they tell us really. When the house is finished it will be for approximately 12 people.
