HAPPY TRINITY SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!

The number 3

To a normal person the number 3 is just a ordinary number cause they say good things comes in threes (or sometimes not depending on your point of view), but if you are a Christian the number 3 has a far more significant meaning as it stands for the Holy Trinity- Father, Son, Holy Ghost.

For me the number three has become my favorite number as I have become more aware of the fact that my faith has grown stronger in the last 5 years then it has been in all 32 years of my life (look for that story in a later blog post), and its also been 3 years since I finished the rough copy of a faith based story that I wrote in which the 2nd of the 2 main characters jersey number is three.

So today was the Trinity Sunday service in church this morning, and all I say is WOW Has God spoken to me via the sermon once again this week, and for the third time this past month noneless. In each one of these sermons it seem like God has either been teaching me something that I need to open up to and realize or confirming something that he knows is important to me, and knows that I constantly seek his confirmation in what it is that I have that he has placed on my heart.  So here is a summery of the 3 sermons in which God has hit me straight in the heart with:

1. Sermon Title: Can we be friends with Jesus?

Topic: friendship

What God reveled to be through this sermon:

The confirmation & his blessing on a very unique friendship that I have.

I pray everyday to God that I also don’t screw up this friendship as words cannot describe just how important this friendship is to me (as I have been known to screw up friendships in the past).

(see the blog post about friendship for the story behind this)

2. Sermon title: Be your Authentic Self

Topic: authenticity

What God reveled to me through this sermon:

This sermon made me realized that I need to be more open about the fact that I am a Christian, and to quit hiding the fact that I am out of fear of what may think of me, and that the fact that I identify as a strong Christian plays a major role in my life more then I sometimes admit that it does.

3. Sermon Title: Saying Yes to Service (Today’s sermon)

Sermon topic: mission/Serving in the church

What God reveled to me through this sermon:

Everything that was said in this sermon was pretty much the final confirmation that I needed from God to let me know that it was indeed his will for me to put my life on hold at my age and travel the world for a year, living out of a backpack & serving his people.

It also gave me a idea for something that I want to be a part of while on the World Race, but need to get special permission which I can’t apply for til training camp so stay tuned & pray for that it gets approved as if this idea gets approved then it will mean the world to me.

We even sung one of my favorite songs- Here I Am Lord which not only do I know by heart, but as I was singing it I got chills going though my body as I was singing it.  I also love the song We Are Called as both of these songs have such profound meaning to me, not to mention the fact that I almost started to cry as I was singing it.

By far the best Sunday in church yet hehehehe

Also question from the Childerns sermon: What are 3 things (or more) of how would you describe yourself? kinda like a personal trinity.

Mine would be: Daughter, “Sister” & Friend

(Also Christian, “Aunt” & golfer)

If these 3 sermons have shot me right in the heart, and caused me to break down in order to grow then Training Camp should be interesting to say the least.

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom Shall I Send? And Who will go for us?  And I said, “Here I Am, Send Me.”-Isaiah 6:8

Til next Time your fellow sister in Christ,
