Dear Nadine,

I miss you more than you know! I hope things are going amazing for you back home. I think about you all the time, and there are so many things that remind me of you here. Swaziland is like nothing I have ever seen. Nature is incredible, I literally have the African bush in my front yard. With the mountain towering over it all. Before the sun rises the sky is filled with the most vibrant pinks, oranges, and yellows. I sit in the prayer garden and watch as the sun peaks up over the mountains.

As I lay in a hammock I look up into the trees and am reminded of the first time that I came to this place to spend time with the Lord. It was the morning after we had first arrived almost three months ago on a beautiful Sunday morning. At the time the trees were so bare I assumed they were dead. It seemed that there wasn’t a single sign of life in them. I hadn’t realized till a little later that it was nearing the end of winter when we had first arrived. But as the months went by and it got to the hottest point of the year here. The trees began to blossom providing the perfect shade for anyone who came to the garden. The trees blossomed when we needed the shade the most.

I think the Lord has a way of timing things in an incredibly unique way He knows exactly what we need and gives it to us at just the right time. When I think back to the trees before they bloomed and showed their full potential I am reminded of myself. Before I knew my Father I was living a life that had no purpose. I was consumed with things of the world that only brought joy for a little while. And before I knew it I would be snapped right back to the meaningless life I was living.

When I finally found the Lord and chose to let him into my life He showed me the beautiful things He could bloom within me. He came right when I needed Him the most and grew some incredible things into my life. My Father is the author of my story, every single detail is precious to him. Every memory is important, the good and the bad. He has fought every single battle for me even before I knew Him. When I look up into the branches of the trees I see V’s that represent victory. The Lord reminded me of the battles I have faced and the ones that are still to come. To remind me that He has given me victory over each one even before I have faced them.

The Lord has written your story sis, He knows every thought and every prayer even before you ask. He is in everything, even the smallest details. He is growing incredible things inside you even if you don’t realize it yet. The Lord has perfect timing for everything and will give you what you need right when you need it the most. You are going to do some amazing things in your life and your story is just getting started.

I love you! <3
