“The fundraising process is hard, but so rewarding. It will truly grow your faith so much.” -Every World Race participant ever.
I thought that was cute and all, but honestly, I couldn’t buy that. When I went into the process of fundraising $16,000, it stressed me out so much that I literally lost sleep over it. I’ve always held the American mentality that money is a sacred thing; you can’t just openly talk about it, let alone ask people to give you some. And I struggled to muster up $1,250 for a previous mission trip, so how am I supposed to do that like 14 times?
Oh me of little faith.
I am one month into the fundraising ~journey~ and I am over half-way funded. (That doesn’t show up on my blog because about $3,000 of it is my own money that I have yet to transfer. But do a little simple math and I have almost $9,000 total. Do a little more math and I am 55.82278481% funded. Roughly.)
