Most recently been doing a lot of sports ministry and working with kids/youth at the church and it has been amazing. Had a couple of adventure days too which are amazing and I nice break. Been to the beach once and sand boarding the other. If you follow me on social media, you will know how sand boarding ended for me and if you don’t you should check it out. Believe it or not I am playing more volleyball than I am soccer but its been fantastic to pour into the people that I play with. They are all older women and every once in a while we will get a new guy but they love learning English and getting to hang out with them everyday has made a big impact on both mine and their lives.
Learning how to share the gospel when you don’t know very many words is very impactful and humbling. It reminds you that you don’t have to know every word of the bible to share the gospel with people. Just trust in the holy spirit and if he puts something on your heart just go for it even if all you need is to pray, smile, or wave. Honestly feel like the penguins from Madagascar most of the time “just smile and wave boys”. The impact of showing just the smallest amount of happiness and love will impact more people than you know.
It’s been awesome though because the people here are so happy and accepting of each one of us. They told us the other day that they are going to miss us when we head to lima on the 8th of March which is very exciting. We actually had the chance to pray for them yesterday and there were two new girls that we just met so it was super cool to be able to share Jesus’ love with them.
