Blogging today to remember the amazing trip I had with some amazing friends that I now call brothers. I went to a retreat called JHoutback and it was life changing it impacted my life so much. Jesus really showed me the love he has for his people this past weekend and how much love we need to show to people as well. While I was walking around and going to each person to talk to them I would take a second and just watch how people would interact with each other, because I am an observer. When I would take a step back and enjoy the moment I would realize that each person at this retreat, if they were walking with Christ or not, they were very accepting and open to conversation. Also, each one of them would just open up and accept the person for who they are and not judge them because what has happened in their life.
In our society today so many people get judged because what they have been through or what actions they made in the past. Which is so unfair because each one of us has sinned against God and said no to his ways. An amazing verse in Romans 3:23 states that
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
Even with us falling short of the glory of God we all are still accepted by him and given so much grace and mercy. Shall we not show that same love and grace to everyone on this earth and be Christ like people? Isn’t our goal to be more and more like Christ every day? So, let’s accept each other for the people that we are and not reject each other for the people that we have been. Because we are all made in the image of God and all are uniquely put on this earth for a reason. Let’s not judge but accept each other for who we are and how God made us. For God made each one of us in a beautiful and perfect way
With all this being said I want to end my blog with an encouragement to go out and show the love that God has given you. Don’t hide in the shadows but be a light for the darkness. We each are made in a unique way, like I said before, so let’s use our unique abilities to accept/love people. Doesn’t everyone deserve love just like the way God loves you? Go be the light that someone needs in their life because there are way too many people being the dark in this world.
