In my last blog, I shared a little about my 28-person squad. While we will all be traveling together this next year, we are split up into teams during the months to do ministry. For the first few months, I am on one of the only all female teams with five other women. My team includes Valerie Canas-Gonzalez, Taylor Figgs, Emily Froehlich, Brishna Hedstrom and Beth O’Quinn. You will be hearing a lot about these ladies since we will be living and doing ministry together full-time! They’re all incredible, so be expectant of all the awesome things that will be happening.
Together we were to come up with a team name and, through thought and prayer, we became Team Shalom. Shalom is the Hebrew word for “peace”, which is a word consistent with our mission for this next year. The six of us are hopeful and determined to share the peace and love of Jesus with those who may not know Him, so this name only seemed fitting. Please add Team Shalom to your prayers!
On July 3, 2018 I will be turning 25. The time between my birthday and the day I leave for The World Race is the only month that I will be spending in America as a 25 year old. Year 25 sure is going to be a big adventure! For my birthday, I am asking that 25 individuals please donate $25 to any one of my teammates. We have a July deadline, so I would really love if the pressure to meet that goal would be taken away from these women. Below are their blogs, so please take a moment to get to know them!
