For Training Camp related emergencies,

Call Beth Crenshaw at 770-765-1726

Do NOT call Beth if:

you lost your cell phone

you ran out of toothpaste

you forgot your stuffed mongoose at home

you drank too much coffee and can’t fall asleep

you dropped your pocket

you are being attacked by a squirrel

you smell something funny in your car

you see dead people

you find out that Starbucks is going out of business

(actually….do call for that – it’s an emergency)

Dress Code

A few weeks ago, we posted a blog about the Training Camp dress code. If you need a little refresher, here it is again.

The dress code is not a suggestion. You will be expected to adhere to it at all times in preparation for what is expected on the field. Check the list, check it twice, and pack accordingly!

The general training camp packing list can be found here.

WR Swag and Goodies

Don’t forget! There will be WR swag for sale at camp that you don’t want to miss!

Also – for the first time at training camp, there is going to be a concession stand! These proceeds will go towards the adoption for a couple in our local community! Bring cash or credit cards (preferably cash) for treats throughout the week!

Travel Plans

In the past, we have seen a number of racers change their end-of-camp departure plans before the last day, which leads to wasted time and resources. Our dedicated training staff plans and pays for adequate transportation for those who request it. Please be a man or woman of your word and stick to your original plans.

Food Allergies & Preferences

While we understand that our bodies are built differently, the reality of the mission field is that you will rarely have much control over what is available for you to eat. You will be served a variety of dishes overseas, and unless you have a serious food allergy, declining to eat a dish can be seen as offensive.

If you have a food allergy or intolerance listed on your Medical tab, we will make accommodations for you at training camp. However, food is ordered weeks in advance, and if you do not inform us of these needs in advance, you will be expected to eat the food served, or make do.

If you are vegetarian: While not all main dishes will involve meat, several will. In these cases we will NOT serve separate vegetarian meals, as food preferences will not be accommodated. Just like on the race, you will need to make do with what is served.
