Are you okay with abundance? Are you okay with being loved?
Not in a standard “I love you way” but in a way that will overwhelm you.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
When you expect rags, can you accept the riches? Can you accept daily gifts when you have nothing to give in return? When you are being honored for simply being yourself, can you graciously accept? When your cup is overflowing but they keep pouring… can you accept the gift even when it’s uncomfortable?
It’s much harder than it sounds. I say thank you repeatedly but I don’t know how to accept more gifts of love. I was ready to give up so many comforts and instead I’ve been given immensely more. I try to give words or acts of service in return but they are halted. I am being honored and treasured in a way I have never known.
Love in abundance. Honor in abundance. Gifts in abundance. Blessings in abundance.
I never imagined the struggle I would have to simply receive. You prepare to pour out but instead you are poured into.
I feel spoiled. Spoiled in love.
Flowers and stuffed rabbits are beautiful gifts but the words “can you stay longer” and “she doesn’t like strangers but she likes you” mean the world.
My heart is bursting with the abundance I never expect but am being given.
