1. Gorgeous orange and pink African sunsets. It’s like the Lion King but in real life!

2. The radical breakthroughs my team has made these past 2 months — we truly are now a loving sisterhood!

3. I’ve gotten to cuddle some cats in every country we’ve been to so far.

4. WiFi. Being on a different continent than my friends and family back home can be tough sometimes but I’m grateful that I’m able to FaceTime and text them to stay in touch.

5. The impactful stories that God has given each one of us. He is the author of our lives and can use our testimonies to reach others and lead them to Jesus.

6. New experiences! Before the World Race I had never helped dig the foundation of a house, demolished a room, rode a horse while looking at zebras in the wild, prayed over a house where evil spirits dwell, snorkeled and surfed, laid hands on sick babies in the hospital, and danced so hard during the Monkey I almost passed out.

7. All of my wonderful supporters who enabled me to be out here on the mission field! I’m forever grateful for your prayers, generosity, and encouragement.

8. The gifts and skills God has scattered throughout my squad: those who are musically-gifted, those with mature wisdom, those who are creative, those who are logically minded, those who have medical skills, those who have hearts for children, etc. I absolutely love seeing the diversity within the body of Christ and how people are using those gifts to build the Kingdom.

9. Sleeping pads. Wowow I’ve used this gem every month of the Race so far! Whether it’s tenting, wanting to lay down in the airport for a few hours, or just making my thin bed’s mattress a little more comfy, my inflatable sleeping pad has been my best friend on this journey.

10. Being able to live out my passions! I’ve always had an interest in teaching/working with children, anything music related, photography and writing, traveling to new places, and of course, glorifying the Lord. How amazing is it that the World Race has encapsulated all of these passions of mine and is giving me the opportunity to use them for a higher purpose!

11. Jesus. For living the perfect life we couldn’t live, dying the sacrificial death that we couldn’t die, and restoring that harmonious relationship between us and the Father.

What are YOU thankful for?
