Dear Ashley,
You’re still in the beginning of embarking on this journey and I know you’re feeling unqualified, insignificant, overlooked, and lacking in confidence. I want to remind you that what you are doing right now is exactly what God intended for you, and the rest of His followers, to do! You are being obedient to His calling and now you just need to embrace complete dependence and trust in Him. When your own voice is silent, it leaves so much room for His voice to be loudly heard. No one is forgotten in the Kingdom. Not one. Your gifts, talents, and personality characteristics are merely lingering under the surface, eager to be discovered and used. You may not know what you are capable of yet, but do not let that prohibit you from confidently walking in Christ. He is your strength. He is your supplier. He is your all. Your brokenness is welcome here! Lay yourself down at the feet of Jesus, surrendering control, comparison, and insecurity. God wants to do His best work in you. It’s time to shift the focus back on Christ, not yourself, and remember your purpose: to help others out of darkness and into His light. He is asking you to come as you are, not who you wish you could be. Come as you are, knowing that you won’t remain as you are, because of God’s miraculous power.
John 6:37: All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never send away.
2 Corinthians 12:9: But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Love,
Ashley
