**Just to preface, I wrote this while still in India – I’m now safely and settled into Guatemala!**
With less than a week left in India, I figured I’d write a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ to my good friend, Jesus. Lately I’ve been spending time reflecting on this whole crazy life that I live, traveling and spreading the Good news. It’s so, SO good to just take a pause sometimes and really count my blessings (and also say a thank you). Here’s a short but sweet prayer I wrote to Jesus about the changes soon to come.
Jesus,
I pray you bless Guatemala. I pray as our squad enters you break each & every one of us in the best ways. I pray that you’d prepare our hearts for what’s ahead (which we know will be incredible, because, well, it’s all from & for you). I pray that you’d guide us, and show us how to love more deeply than we ever have before.
I also pray that this would be a time of continuous growth. That just because we’ve reached our final country for the Race, that we’d still be open to & knowing of the works you are performing within us & around us. I ask that you’d open our eyes and hearts, & let us know just how greatly you are continuing to move.
I pray that you bless the short 3 months we have in that place. I pray that we’d wake up every. Single. Day., more determined and motivated than ever at the urgency of our mission: to love you, & to love others.
I pray that this isn’t where it stops. That even after the next 3 months are over, and our time in this season comes to an end, that we keep pressing into you. That we wouldn’t lose our passion & admiration for you and the honor to further your Kingdom.
I thank you for this blessing. I thank you for every person you’ve so carefully selected and placed here & on this squad that I get to call my family. I thank you for this wild adventure in which I know I’m such a lucky gal, to have you and your kindness and love for me.
Thanks bro, you’re the best.
Love,
~Ash
