HUGE PRAISE! Please read and praise God with me.
The church, Restorando la Familia, in our local community here in Guatemala was used by the Lord to be a vessel for some amazing deliverance!
After Sunday morning service last week, the congregation was sent out in small groups to actively live out what they were learning in church that morning. Each group prayed for the Lord to reveal to them where they should go to share the Gospel.
One group in particular, a group of women, felt it on their hearts to go the brothel in town.
This brothel is owned by a local woman who is known to be very violent and dangerous. The brothel is “home” to many women who are regularly purchased and abused for sex. The woman’s son runs the brothel, having started pimping at 15 years old. It seems to be a whole family affair, with a couple of the young girls in the family being servers at the brothel, as well.
Although this group of women from the church were nervous to approach this brothel, they chose to obey the Lord! They went and found the brothel to be nearly empty, with only the owner, the local woman, present. She answered them at the door and they asked if they could share the Gospel with her. She said yes.
After hearing the whole Gospel, she wept and said no one had ever told her that before. Right in that moment, she accepted Jesus in her heart as her personal savior!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!
She said she is going to share the good news with her son and fight to SHUT DOWN the brothel and start going to the church, Restorando la Familia, and she is going to invite all of the young women from the brothel, as well!! Y’ALL!! That is the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit. Changing hearts, changing lives, and setting captives free! Thank you, Father!
Please keep lifting up this woman and all of the other women in prayer. Please also pray for the woman’s son to commit his life to Christ as well, and that the brothel would officially be shut down. Pray for the women to be supported and to find jobs in other places so they don’t fall back into that kind of work. God is our PROVIDER!
