This is has been a crazy week, filled with amazing demonstrations of generosity, love, and ultimately generous loving. This blog is going to have some examples of how I’ve witnessed generosity & love this week as well as why I thought it generosity and love is worth their own blog post. This isn’t my best writing, it’s not well-composed, but it’s true.
PLACES I’VE WITNESSED GENEROSITY & LOVE
- A squadmate posted in our squad’s group chat that someone that she knows & their company/foundation has pledged to get our fellow squadmate to the $10,000 mark so that she can go to Launch.
- I asked Facebook friends who liked a specific post of mine to donate $20 or send me a letter, and at least 10 people have agreed to donate and/or write me a letter. One of those people that donated is currently raising financial support for their own mission trip!
- Also received some great words about generosity throughout the past two days: the morning devotional (YouVersion Bible app, Life on Mission, day 19), my church’s podcast from a while ago, a dope podcast from Sounds Good with Branden Harvey featuring BC Serna, and some not so subtle promptings from God about what true generosity looks like.
- And, finally, the Spirit in me committing to support two of my squadmates, because love is an action verb, is sacrificial in nature, and, to quote the wonderful Bob Goff, love does.
CHALLENGE TIME – QUESTIONS
- What is one SIMPLE way that you can be generous?
- To whom is one person that you demonstrate generosity?
- Generosity doesn’t have to mean money. What is one way that you can be generous with your time and/or resources?
- How are you demonstrating your love to those around you?
- Love isn’t required to go above and beyond. How can you consistently love someone around you?
- What is one way that you appreciate receiving love? Now, do that for someone else!

Prayer Requests
- Please keep the team of NE Navigators that is in and are going to Croatia that will be serving the Croatian & Romani people in your prayers that they are obedient to the gentle whisperings of the Spirit,
- Please pray over the country of Haiti, their internal safety, the rebuilding of their political system, the resources that they need to thrive, and for God to be the abundant, generous Lover that He is, and
- Pray for me as I enter the final stages of preparation for the World Race & Launch.
Praise Reports
- I have been blessed so greatly by the generosity of others, in this season and throughout my life,
- All except two of my squadmates are past the $10,000 mark (a.k.a. raised enough to go to Launch), with one having received a pledge to get them to that mark and one more still seeking generous supporters//the number of my squadmates to have yet to meet this mark SINCE FRIDAY has dropped from ten to two!, and
- I got a Joby tripod, which should make recording video easier, and allowing me to create & ultimately share more stories.
