Lungs, wind, soul.
Aren’t these all different?
Inspire, aspirate, expire.
To breathe in, the process of cycling air, to breathe out.
Take in, breathe, push out.
It’s all just breathing!… Right?
Inspired by God.
God breathed into.
God filled with air.
God indwelled His Spirit.
Deep breath in, hold, breathe out, repeat.
In until full, hold until it hurts, out until there’s nothing left, again.
In until capacity, hold, out, empty.
But, did all the air come out?
Try again: in, hold, out.
Lungs full of air, His Spirit, His breath.
Hold until you can’t hold on anymore.
Can you push all the air from your lungs?
Even if you could, your body can’t NOT suck more in.
We NEED air to live.
We NEED His Spirit, His breath, and His indwelling to live.
