Here is some information about Zambia, provided from Operation World:

  • it is landlocked in central, southern Africa and largely covered by savannah grasslands with some forested areas,
  • it’s HDI rank is 164 of 182,
  • of the 13 million people, there are 82 people groups (about 5%) that have been unreached by the Gospel,
  • of that 5 %, the Gujarati of Zambia is the largest portion, and
  • nearly 87% of the total population identifies as Christian; and of that 87%, 26% identifies as Evangelical.

Some of the things to pray over are:

  • training and developing holistic ministries run by Zambians that are sustainable and useful,
  • the continued missional nature of the Zambian Church throughout the country and its neighbors, both sending and receiving, and
  • reaching those that are less likely to receive the Gospel, including smaller people groups, urban satellite towns, and the Indian Gujarati.

If you need a reminder of praying schedule, you can check out the introductory blog! Or, if you would like to be one of my prayer warriors (intentionally praying over and with me and others about my World Race), you can sign up here (an email list serve to get more information, specifically prayer requests and prayer reports).

God bless,
