I don’t have much to say this week, but the idea of waiting on the Lord to provide has been very present in the past week especially. What does it look like to wait on the Lord to provide the love and patience to love difficult people, the funds to go on the World Race? I feel like waiting on the Lord is different than most other types of waiting. Waiting on the Lord is not like sitting in a waiting room being called back for a doctor’s appointment, not like waiting for the results of an audition nor application. Waiting on the Lord is more like counting down the days till one’s wedding, I presume, except for the fact that one does not know how long they have to wait. Waiting on the Lord in expectation is so incredibly unique that I have ever experienced.

All I know is that there is nothing waiting on the Lord to do the work that brings Him and His Kingdom glory. For me, waiting in expectation is surrender and freedom. There is nothing I can do to make God put a rush order on my blessing because His timing is perfect. All that I can do in the meantime is pray to God and express the desires of my heart, worship and praise Him because He is worthy, and be obedient to what He has called me to.

So, here I sit, waiting. As you may know, I’ve been asking to reach $2,500 by February 15 (this Thursday). We are currently at $1,880. Simply, it doesn’t seem possible. But, the impossible and the improbable is God’s specialty. I believe that the Creator of Heaven and earth, if and only if it is His will, will bless me so that I can be a blessing. Fundraising is not for me to say, “look at all that I have done,” but to step back in humility and recognize the power of the Lord and say, “may God be the glory.” So, here I sit waiting in expectation. Because, as a fellow racer said, if it is God’s will, it’s God’s bill.

May the God bless you in all that you do,

Angelica Moore
