To the supporters of my dear sis, Amy:
I was immediately drawn to Amy when I first read her blog post about her engagement before training camp. At that time, I wasn’t sure why my Spirit leapt. But now, after being a part of her team, 1010 FIERCE, for the past four months I know why God placed her in my life.
My name is Gisele Marie and I’m writing this letter to let you know how much I appreciate you supporting her on this world race journey. Your giving helped her be here! And my experience on the race would not have been the same without her.
I’m sure that Amy has made a profound impact on you as well. She’s been given the gift of knowledge and wisdom in the word of God. And she uses her gift so well.
She’s helped me to learn more about the word of God, sparking a passion that I thought was long gone. Seeing her eyes light up when she reads the word or has a new revelation in Christ has been an honor to witness. She strengthens our team with a genuine love that works to see the best in everyone.
I am 10 years older than Amy and each day that I get to be with her, I see how God works in mysterious ways. When I was 21, having an understanding, humble, wise friend like her would have saved me from a lot of trouble. But now I’m 31 and God has blessed me with this friendship that He knew I would need on the Race and beyond.
I’m grateful God chose her to help me be vulnerable during this journey, to explain to me revelational doctrines and theories I never learned growing up, to laugh at memes and corny jokes with, to talk to about relationships or lack of relationships, to encourage me when I don’t feel worthy, to watch Harry Potter movies with, to watch sunrises with while drinking coffee and eating really yummy bread, to bake for me because I’m horrible at baking, to squish my face when I’m having a nervous breakdown and the enemy is attacking, to sincerely pray for me with all her heart, and to teach me how to love genuinely.
I’ve never met anyone who manifests grace so well. And it’s truly been such an honor to have lived this adventure with her! Wherever she is placed, I know that God will continue to work through her in wonderful ways.
She’ll make an impact on many hearts. She’ll continue to grow in her intimacy with the Lord. She’ll reach new heights of revelation in Christ Jesus. She’ll be a blessing to others as much as she is a blessing to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in Amy and what God is doing through her. Thank you for continuing to support and encourage her. Thank you for covering her in prayers. Thank you for loving her! Thank you for giving me a chance to get to know this beautiful soul. God bless you! Keep on following her journey because there’s more to come!
