Hey y’all! So I’m supposed to be writing a blog about my experience on the Camino (Coming Soon)…but all I can think about are, my favorite pair of shoes, my Chucks. So…I figured I’d write a blog about them…
These are my chucks. They have served flood and wild fire victims across the States. They have trekked to the furthest most southern point of Africa where the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean connect, but don’t mix. These chucks have fed the homeless, while dancing Samba during Carnival in Brazil. They have trudged through floods in Vietnam, and ushered people into relationship with Christ in Australia.
They lived in Ethiopia, working with sex trafficking victims under the age of 17. They have been stained climbing the red clay mounds that they called home. And just this month, they walked the hills of the Camino in Spain, ministering through smiles and truth. These chucks have shared the love of Jesus, in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, N. America and S. America, but now it’s time for them to retire. Lol! I can’t wait to see the journey that my next pair will take me on!!!

These holes in soles
Created on journeys
Predestined to fix
Holes in souls
Through the love of Jesus
His love, His light, His salvation
These chucks have expressed the kind of love
That changes generations
They’ve run fast and walked slow
Setting their own pace
Worn down and falling apart
These chucks have run the good race…
