Hi guys! I wanted to lighten the mood from my previous blogs and introduce you to my new and final teammates 🙂
Presenting…..drum roll please…..Team Tetelestai!
First up, Jordan aka “Jo” aka our Co-co (communication coordinator).
She’s funny, sweet, and a really cool person. I have yet the privilege and honor of being on a team with this sweet gal, so I am so excited to get to know her more.
Second, Katie aka our Mo-mo (money mover).
She’s wise, caring, and just a really fun person to be around. At training camp, we hit it off and realized how similar we are. I hoped we would be on a team together and up until now, we haven’t. Well, our dream has finally come true! I’m so excited to learn from her and see the growth she’s walked through these last 8 months.
Next up, Cimone.
She’s colorful, unique, and down to earth. I’ve had the pleasure of calling this lady my teammate these last 4 months on Team Eve. I’m excited to continue walking alongside her to finish this thing off 🙂
Next up, Hannah aka my OG-GG.
She’s beautiful, honest, and intentional. It’s crazy to think that we did life together for the first 4 months on Gospel Girls and are now finishing the last 3 months together! I can’t wait to see the growth she’s experienced and share more memories and insane stories with her.
Next up, Elsie aka our prayer warrior.
She’s super sweet, a wonderful listener, and someone that exudes so much peace. I’m excited to learn from her these last few months, grow our friendship, cook, and clean together!
Last, but definitely not least, Gisele aka my fitness accountability partner.
She is encouraging, patient, and full of joy. She takes the time to sit with people and hear their stories and I love that about her. I can’t wait to get to know her more!
(p.s. all of these pictures are from month one in the DR to show the crazy amount of growth we’ve all experienced on the Race so far. We are completely different people from the start of this insanely amazing adventure.)
This is us now!!! Day 2 of ministry in Bulgaria, about to rake the heck out of the conference center property.
Literally translated, the Greek word tetelestai means, “It is finished”. As Jesus bled and died on the cross, he muttered this word declaring victory. As a team of 7 fierce, strong, alpha women, this name is a perfect fit. We, as a team, want to stay Kingdom focused and remember that the Lord came to the earth conquering everything! He is victorious! We have such a cool opportunity to walk in His footsteps, without pressure to do things ‘right’, but understanding that we have a God with us always! He came, saw, and conquered! No matter what happens as a team these next 3 months, we’re challenged to thing this way. On another hand, this is the last team we will be on before returning home. This season and chapter of our lives is coming to an end and we have the blessing of spending these last sweet months together, reminiscing in all the highs and lows this experience brought us.
I know these next few months are going to be far from easy as we begin thinking about and planning our futures, but I am beyond thrilled to have these wonderful sisters by my side 🙂
Until next time,
~A
